Kandidaten aus 19 Ländern, so viele wie noch nie, bewerben sich im April beim AIPS-.Kongress in Baku um 12 Positionen in der europäischen Executive. Unter ihnen auch der Kärntner Günter Pfeistlinger, der schon jetzt im Vorstand der AIPS Europe (ehemals UEPS) vertreten ist. An den drei Top-Besetzungen ändert sich nichts: Yannis Daras (GRE) bleibt Präsident, Charles Camenzuli (MLT) Generalsekretär und Murat Agca (TUR) Finanzchef. Pfeistlinger muss sich bei der Wahl am 27. April behaupten. Der Vorsitzende der AIPS-Handball-Kommission, derzeit bei der EM-Endrunde in Dänemark im Einsatz, muss gegen 15 weitere Kandidaten unter die neun mit den meisten Stimmen kommen. Von 3. bis 5. Record number of nominations for AIPS Europe Elections

$1· A record 19 European countries will be represented in the 2014 elections of the AIPS Europe Executive Committee.Voting will take place during during the AIPS Congress in Baku this April.
There will however be no change amongst the officers as President Yannis Daras (Greece) , Secretary General Charles Camenzuli (Malta) and Treasurer Murat Agca (Turkey) are all unopposed. It means that the administration of AIPS Europe will enjoy an element of continuity.
There are 16 candidates for nine positions on the AIPS Europe executive committee. The candidate list is as follows:
